Highly Refined Design is a woman-owned branding and design studio based in Gramercy, NYC. We partner with experienced professionals, founders, and organizations who want their visual identity to match the caliber of their work. Often, our clients reach a pivotal point where their success has outpaced their branding. We step in during these moments of evolution to bring structure, perspective, and clarity to their story. Christine Collister
Founder & Principal

Christine Collister has spent nearly two decades working directly with founders and senior leadership teams across finance, consulting, architecture, and franchise development. Her background in both marketing and graphic design allows her to bridge strategy and execution — translating complex ideas into clear narratives and cohesive visual systems. Her work often focuses on moments of transition — when professionals, businesses, or organizations are refining how they communicate their expertise and direction.

Before establishing Highly Refined Design, Christine founded Better Pitchbooks, where she designed strategic communications and investor materials for firms including Citizens, McKinsey, and BlackRock Sustainable Investing.

Earlier in her career, she held marketing leadership roles at Golub Capital, ultimately serving as Marketing Manager within the firm’s Middle Market Lending group. There she developed marketing strategy and communications for a rapidly growing private credit platform. She began her professional path at a boutique design firm on Philadelphia’s Main Line before relocating to New York City.

Christine earned her BFA in Graphic Design from Rhode Island School of Design.

She currently lives in Manhattan with her family and publishes, edits, and designs Irving, a print magazine dedicated to the culture and businesses of New York City’s Gramercy neighborhood. The publication features original photography and reporting, curated local events, and collaborations with neighborhood restaurants, shops, and cultural institutions.

Outside the studio, Christine is rarely without a carefully chosen soundtrack, whether she’s running, cycling, cooking, or exploring art and culture.

Many clients engage us for a focused initiative first and then continue collaborating as their brand and communications evolve. Personal Branding: Brand positioning and visual identity projects typically begin around $3,000–$5,000 depending on scope.

Small Business Branding: Brand identity and messaging projects for small businesses generally begin around $2,500–$6,000.

Corporate & Institutional Design: Refinements for strategic communication materials including presentations, reports, and visual identity typically begin around $3,000.
